We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Chef / Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and technical expertise to our kitchen, driving innovation and excellence in all our culinary endeavors. This role involves strategic collaboration with various departments, overseeing project execution, and fostering the development of our culinary team.
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, and Innovation Teams to develop and execute new culinary concepts and propositions.
- Lead the creation and presentation of innovative dishes to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide culinary guidance and technical expertise to both external and internal stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity.
- Spearhead the technical function to achieve sales targets for Tropical Flavours, focusing on culinary excellence and innovation.
Project Management
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of culinary projects, from customer brief to presentation and commercialization.
- Ensure all projects meet the required standards and certifications obtained by Tropical Flavours.
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Culinary Development
- Develop new concepts in seasonings and culinary products on a kitchen scale, prioritizing flavor, quality, and health benefits.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Tropical Flavours Kitchen, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
- Continuously innovate and experiment with new recipes, techniques, and ingredients to keep the culinary offerings fresh and exciting.
Team Leadership
- Coach and mentor a diverse team of Application Technologists, Junior Chefs, Chemists, and Food Technologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Build the team’s capabilities in new culinary applications, technologies, and infrastructure, promoting continuous learning and development.
- Represent Tropical Flavours at various exhibitions and trade shows, showcasing our culinary expertise and innovation.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards, including certifications obtained by Tropical Flavours.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the highest standards in all culinary outputs.
- Regularly review and update kitchen protocols and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- Graduate / Post graduate from catering Institutes.
- Certification in food safety and quality management is a plus.

Proven experience as a Corporate Chef, Executive Chef, or similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced culinary environment.
Exceptional culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food trends. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
